I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley loving frosted animal cookies, donut-truck snacks, ice cream, and everything sweet. By my teenage years I was already close to 200 pounds — exhausted, depressed, and hiding in baggy clothes, wondering why I couldn’t stop gaining weight.
For decades I bounced from diet to diet:
low-fat, low-calorie, vegetarian, HCG, Paleo…
Lose the weight.
Gain it back.
Start again.
Meanwhile I battled asthma, allergies, PCOS, and depression while raising three children and feeling trapped in a body that didn’t feel like mine.
The Turning Point
The turning point came at a Bulletproof Conference when a body-type scientist looked at me and simply said:
“Stop eating fruit.”
Something shifted.
I went keto that day — with Bulletproof coffee, MCT oil, and homemade low-carb bread — and everything began changing rapidly.
Within the first month:
• I lost 20 pounds
• My cravings disappeared
• My brain fog lifted
• My vision sharpened
• And after 20 years, I no longer needed an inhaler
That moment changed everything.
Discovering the Root Causes
I dove into functional nutrition training with Chris Kresser, became a Functional Health Coach, and later trained with Reed Davis to become a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P).
Through deeper testing I discovered food sensitivities to dairy and wheat — the very foods that had been keeping me inflamed, overweight, and metabolically stuck.
Over time I lost 100 pounds naturally and permanently and built the lifestyle I now teach.
